How SkyLara labels where a number comes from
Measured, derived, inferred, user-entered, manufacturer-published or contextual: the provenance labels on SkyLara, the confidence states beside them, and how cited sources are tracked.

The provenance labels
Measured means recorded by the GNSS device; derived means calculated from measured data by the rules published in the methodology. [1][2]
Inferred marks a detector's interpretation, such as a flight phase or an event; user-entered and coach-entered values keep who entered them. [1]
Manufacturer-published values come from a manufacturer's document with its source, and contextual estimates are weather from a station or a model rather than a measurement on site. [1]
Confidence beside each check
Each check on an analysed jump has one of three states — high confidence, limited confidence or unavailable — with the measured reason. [3]
A gate that could not be detected is shown as not confidently detected instead of being filled in, because an invented height would look exactly like a real one. [3]
Manufacturer data and evidence levels
Canopy sizes, charts and flight descriptions are kept separate from SkyLara's own explanations, each with a source link and revision. [4]
Manufacturer documents carry an evidence level: A for manufacturer technical documentation, B for manufacturer product information, C for a training organisation or governing body, D for professional coaching material. [5]
Manufacturer information, SkyLara's calculation, your observed data and a coach's assessment are shown as four separate things. [6]
The source registry and link checks
Every source cited on the site is listed on the Sources page with the pages that cite it and the date its link was last checked. [5]
When a link does not answer at a check, the citation is kept and marked as unreachable rather than removed; these articles show a notice when one of their own sources is in that state or has not been checked recently. [5]
Versions and the original file
Every stored result carries the version of the engine that produced it, and when a version changes, affected jumps are recomputed from the original recording. [7]
The original file is kept unchanged with its SHA-256 fingerprint, and its source is detected from the file's content, never from its name. [8]
