- Alargamiento publicado: Pulse 2.59, Spectre 2.14.

| Características (palabras clave del fabricante) | Soft, forgiving openings with short snivel · Very flat glide · Short recovery arc · Easy to pack · Easy to time flare · For Novice to Experienced jumpers Fuente: Performance Designs — Pulse product page ↗ | Soft openings with long snivel · Short recovery arc · Flat glide Fuente: Performance Designs — Spectre product page ↗ |
| Apertura | Significantly shorter snivel than a Sabre2 or a Spectre, and an inflation that is a bit quicker, without being uncomfortable. Easier to keep on heading; if it opens off heading it will generally stay on that heading rather than continuing the turn. | All sizes of the Spectre have a relatively long snivel and slow inflation speed. More resistant to off-heading openings than many other canopies, and tends to turn less and recover more quickly if it does open off-heading. |
| Arco de recuperación | The recovery arc is a lot shorter than on a Sabre2; when you stop a turn it will plane out into normal flight much more quickly than a Sabre2. | Short recovery arc (product page). FC: loses more altitude in a turn than some other canopies; will dive longer and lose more altitude in a turn than the Stiletto. |
| Planeo | Very flat glide when flying at full flight, much like the PD Stiletto. | At full glide the Spectre actually has a slightly flatter glide angle than some nine-cell canopies, including both the original Sabre and the Sabre2. |
| Velocidad / picado | no publicado | Flies at about the same airspeed as the original Sabre, the Sabre2, and the Stiletto (qualitative; no figures published). |
| Frenada (flare) | Approach angle is flatter and rate of descent lower than most other canopies, so the flare is quite easy to time; less tendency for unwanted pop-up or "ballooning" on landing. | Tends to have a lower flare point or "sweet spot"; you will need to pull the toggles a bit farther to stop your descent. |
| Bandas delanteras | Flies reasonably well on front risers, with a somewhat lower increase in descent rate than a Sabre2; riser pressure is firm and builds as airspeed increases; not designed to achieve steep diving turns. | Relatively light front riser pressure; even larger sizes respond fairly well to front riser input. |
| Bandas traseras | Rear riser turns are conventional, though the control range is very short; only a modest improvement in glide with rear risers; flaring with rear risers is not nearly as effective as on a Sabre2. | no publicado |
| Respuesta al arnés | no publicado | no publicado |
| Respuesta a los mandos | Very responsive in toggle turns; takes less toggle movement to achieve a given turn rate compared to a Sabre2, and descends less quickly in a turn. | Turns more quickly and smoothly than a rectangular canopy, with less toggle pressure; product page: smooth, progressive toggle response. Very responsive in braked flight. |
